WizPerk Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of the WizPerk customer experience, WizPerk Business, our websites, QR reward pages, Wallet passes, and related Stage 1 services (together, the "Services").
Last updated: August 31, 2026
1. Stage 1 is a free coupon service
In Stage 1, customers can scan participating business QR codes, review available offers, choose coupons, save selected coupons to a supported digital wallet, and redeem valid coupons directly with the participating business.
- Customers do not pay WizPerk to save or redeem a coupon.
- Businesses do not set up payment processing to offer Stage 1 coupons.
- WizPerk does not process the customer's purchase from the business.
- WizPerk does not charge a commission on a Stage 1 coupon redemption.
- Stage 1 coupons are promotional offers, not cash, stored value, or a bank account.
Any purchase of goods or services happens directly between the customer and the business. The business, not WizPerk, is the seller and is responsible for the goods or services, taxes, receipts, returns, refunds, and customer service related to that purchase.
2. Accepting these Terms and eligibility
By accessing or using the Services, creating an account, or selecting an option that says you agree, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
You must be legally able to agree to these Terms. The Services are not directed to children under 13. A minor who cannot legally agree on their own may use the Services only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian.
3. Accounts and business authority
You are responsible for providing accurate information, protecting your login credentials, and promptly telling us about suspected unauthorized access. You may not impersonate another person or business.
If you use WizPerk Business, you confirm that you are authorized to act for that business. We may request reasonable information or verification before making a business or offer public, or when needed to protect customers, businesses, and the Services.
4. Coupons, recommendations, and redemption
A participating business creates and is responsible for its coupon. The displayed offer terms may include an expiry date, participating location, usage limit, exclusions, availability, and whether the coupon can be combined with another offer. Customers must follow those displayed terms.
- Only coupons a customer selects are saved to that customer's WizPerk coupon record.
- A reward pack may contain fewer offers when not enough eligible, non-duplicate offers are available.
- We may prevent duplicate claims and apply a waiting period after a coupon is saved.
- A coupon may stop being available when it expires, reaches a stated limit, is redeemed, or is lawfully withdrawn before it is saved.
- A saved coupon has no cash value and may not be sold, copied, altered, or transferred unless the offer expressly allows it.
Businesses must honour a valid saved coupon according to its displayed terms and applicable law. A business may reject a coupon that is expired, already redeemed, invalid, altered, or outside its clearly stated terms. If a dispute occurs, the customer and business should first try to resolve it directly and may then contact WizPerk support.
How a business's offers perform across all customers - how often they are shown, kept, and redeemed, by business category and distance - is recorded and may be used to decide which businesses show each other's offers. These figures are combined with every other business, and no individual business's figures are shown to anyone else.
5. Apple Wallet and Google Wallet
WizPerk can prepare passes for supported Wallet services. Apple Wallet and Google Wallet are third-party services controlled by Apple and Google. Their own terms, device requirements, account settings, and service availability apply.
Selecting "Add to Wallet" asks the applicable Wallet provider to show or add the pass. WizPerk cannot guarantee that a provider will accept, display, keep, sync, update, or remove a pass on every device. Removing a pass from a Wallet does not by itself delete the related coupon or WizPerk record. Redeeming a coupon may cause its Wallet pass to be updated, marked as used, or made inactive where the provider supports that update.
6. Business offer responsibilities
A business that publishes an offer through WizPerk must:
- describe the offer, discount, regular price claim, expiry, limits, exclusions, and participating locations accurately;
- have the legal right to offer and advertise the goods or services;
- keep enough records to support savings or comparison-price claims;
- avoid misleading, unlawful, unsafe, discriminatory, or unavailable offers;
- honour valid saved coupons according to their displayed terms and applicable consumer law; and
- promptly pause or correct an offer that is inaccurate or can no longer be fulfilled.
WizPerk may review or remove an offer, but our review does not transfer the business's responsibility for the offer to WizPerk.
7. Content and permission to operate the Services
You keep ownership of business information, coupon artwork, images, text, and other content you submit. You confirm that you have the rights needed to submit it.
You give WizPerk a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, resize, display, distribute, cache, and use that content only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, support, and promote the Services and the business or offer it represents. This licence ends when the content is deleted from our active systems, subject to reasonable backup, legal, security, and technical retention.
8. Acceptable use
- Do not use the Services for fraud, abuse, spam, or unlawful activity.
- Do not create fake scans, claims, selections, redemptions, accounts, businesses, or reviews.
- Do not copy, alter, sell, or misuse coupons or redemption codes.
- Do not upload content you do not have permission to use.
- Do not scrape, reverse engineer, bypass limits, or interfere with the security or operation of the Services except where applicable law expressly permits it.
- Do not use another person's account, device identifier, pass, or redemption credential without permission.
9. Availability, changes, and account action
We may maintain, change, limit, suspend, or discontinue part of the Services. We may also hide or remove content, pause an offer, or limit or suspend an account when reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, protect users, comply with law, or enforce these Terms.
You may stop using the Services at any time. Account and personal-data deletion requests are handled as described in our Privacy Policy and account deletion page.
10. Third-party services
The Services may depend on or link to third-party services, including Apple, Google, map providers, sign-in providers, app stores, and a participating business's own website or service. WizPerk does not control those services and is not responsible for their independent terms, privacy practices, availability, or decisions.
11. Disclaimers and limits on liability
The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not promise that every offer will remain available, that every device or Wallet provider will work without interruption, or that a participating business's goods or services will meet a customer's expectations.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WizPerk is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or opportunities arising from the Services. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty, remedy, or liability that applicable law does not allow us to exclude or limit, including applicable consumer rights.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the Services, law, or our practices change. We will post the updated Terms and change the date above. When required by law, or when a change is material, we will provide an additional notice or ask for renewed agreement before the change takes effect for you.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without limiting any mandatory rights you may have under the laws that apply to you. Subject to those mandatory rights, disputes relating to these Terms or the Services will be heard by the courts located in Alberta, Canada.
